I love you
I love when I wrap my arm across my chest and hold myself by my side and into the ribs on my back
I love the way I run my fingers across my body as if its new
As if I never felt something so soft with so many turns and curves
I love when you find yourself after being lost
When you make art, when you photograph, you paint, you write, you touch and allow to be touched
I love when your determined, when you cry because you want to make change so badly
You see people for who they really are and when they see you they fear
Fear that you’ll expose all their beauty, all their ugly all their complex dimensions
their everything is clear to me by the way they look at the world
I love the way I throw makeup on my face and don’t mind the flaws
I love that I love flaws
Your judgmental but maybe its your safety, maybe you see and perceive but don’t let that stray you away
Maybe your harsh but maybe your too nice
Maybe you don’t laugh enough maybe you don’t know how to cry
Maybe you let go too much and that’s why you hold on so tight
Sometimes you lose yourself
Months going by without your favorite food, without colors
But you always find your way back
You always see yourself
Whether you choose to look optimistacly
you know your worth despite your brain sometimes making it feel like its -42 degrees
You know you can get through the sweet savory thoughts of you not being here
The beauty in the ugly idea of you not existing
you know your flaws and you don’t let them win
You bend them and twist them
You take critisism like compliments
You channel your failures into faith
People find you vulnerable but you can’t cry in front of your bestfriend
You know you need to change and your learning to be patient with yourself
Your learning forgiveness
Learning love
Unlearning you
